Bridget Chalk is Associate Professor of English at Manhattan College in the Bronx, New York. She is the author of Modernism and Mobility: The Passport and Cosmopolitan Experience (Palgrave Macmillan, 2014), and is currently at work on a project about education and immersion in the modern novel.
