Robert Higney is an assistant professor of English at the City College of New York, CUNY, where he teaches and writes about the history of the novel, modernism, Anglophone writing, and contemporary fiction. His work has appeared in Novel, Contemporary Literature, and Modernism/modernity. His book Institutional Character is forthcoming from the University of Virginia Press.
